Privacy policy

Greece Private Tours keeps the details you type into a booking request and nothing else about you: this site sets no cookies for visitors and runs no tracking. The office and your driver use those details to run your tour in Santorini, Athens or on a day trip, and you can ask for them at any time by writing to info@greeceprivatetours.com. Here is what that means in 5 points.

1. What we keep

When you send a booking or a custom request: the lead traveller’s name, email address and phone number; the name you want on the driver’s sign; the date, start time, group size and pickup; your ship’s name and times when you match the day to a ship; the hotel name when we collect you there; and the notes you write. The notes are yours to fill: mention mobility needs or children’s ages only if you want the driver to plan for them. We also keep the date the request was sent and a scrambled form of your connection’s address that lets us stop automated abuse; it cannot be turned back into the address.

2. Why

To answer your request, confirm the booking, plan the day, reach you if something changes on the day, and keep the booking record. We do not use your details for marketing lists and we do not sell or rent them.

3. Who sees them

The office that answers requests, and the driver who meets you, who gets your name, phone number, group details, meeting point and notes for the day. Our website and booking email run on hosting and mail providers under contract with us; they process the data on our instructions and for nothing else.

4. How long

Booking records stay in our booking system after the tour so we can answer questions about it and meet our accounting duties. 12 months after your tour, our system removes your name, email address, phone number, notes, the name on the sign and your ship and hotel details from the record on its own; the booking’s reference, date, tour, group size and price stay for our accounts. Write to us before then and we delete your personal details from any record the law does not oblige us to keep.

5. Your rights and your browser

Under EU data protection law you may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr). Your browser keeps the name you type on the board and the details of an unsent request in its own session storage, on your device only, until you close the tab; nothing of that reaches us until you press send.
