What does a private tour in Santorini cost?

The 4-hour tour is 300 EUR for up to three guests in a sedan and 400 EUR for four to seven in a minivan, which is 100 EUR each when four of you share it; the 5-hour tour starts at 400 EUR and the full day at 700 EUR. From eight guests every tour is priced per person in a minibus or a coach. Each figure on this site is printed from the office’s rate card, so the tour pages, the cards and the price guide always agree. Entrance fees, cable car tickets, tastings and meals are paid on the spot, and a licensed guide is quoted separately on request. The day at three wineries prints no figure of its own: the office quotes it for the party and the date, and the museum’s package of 30 EUR (checked 27 Oct 2026, kwm.gr) a person is the one tasting price any winery of the day prints.

Driver or licensed guide: which one do we need?

A driver, for the island. Every tour on this page is driven by one of our own drivers, who agrees the order of the stops with you, waits at each one and gives practical orientation on the road: where to walk, how long you have, where the nearest toilets are. Guiding inside a museum or an archaeological site is the work of state-licensed guides under Law 5121/2024, so if you want the excavation at Akrotiri explained, a licensed guide is added on request and quoted with your day. Four hours, five hours, a full day or the sunset?

The 4-hour tour is Oia, the blue-domed church of Firostefani, Pyrgos with the view from Prophet Elias, and Perissa beach or a winery, with about an hour and a half on the road in total. The 5-hour tour adds the excavation at Akrotiri, Red Beach and the black sand of Perivolos, with short stops so that eight places fit. The full day takes the same road with an hour in Oia, an hour at Akrotiri and lunch at Perivolos. The sunset tour is two wineries in one evening, the second on the caldera rim, with the start set by that day’s sunset, and the photo-spots tour is four hours built around six viewpoints. The day at three wineries is the daytime answer to the wine question, five hours by request, 7 min and 5 km from the cable car’s top station to the wine museum at Vothonas first, then Pyrgos and Megalochori, quoted by the office. Every tour page prints its stops with the drive time between them, routed on OpenStreetMap without traffic, and the minutes we plan at each; the route is adjusted to your interests as long as the day stays within its hours. Ancient Thera, the Dorian city on the ridge above Kamari, is on none of the fixed days: its page says how it joins the full day or a car-and-driver day on request.

Where does the driver meet us?

At your hotel or villa, anywhere on the island. Cruise guests are met at the exit of the cable car’s top station in Fira, where the driver holds a sign with your name; since 2026 a ship for more than 1,000 passengers lands three in ten of its guests at Athinios instead, and there the vehicle waits on the quay, as it does for ferry arrivals. At the airport the driver waits in the arrivals area. When is Akrotiri open?

The excavation keeps summer and winter hours, closes early on Mondays and Thursdays in summer, and is shut every Tuesday from 1 November to 31 March and on 1 January, 25 March, 1 May, Easter Sunday, 25 and 26 December. The entrance fee is 20 EUR (checked 8 Oct 2026, hh.gr), paid at the gate. The hours as the official ticket site lists them:

How does a day with us work?

You send a request with the date, the number of guests and where you start; nothing is paid on the site, and the office confirms by email. On the day the driver comes to you, you agree the order of the stops, and at each one the driver waits with the vehicle while you walk, eat or swim; the drive times on each tour page tell you how much of your hours is road. Greece Private Tours was founded on Santorini in 1995 by Nikos Sirigos, and its Santorini tours run with our own drivers in our own vehicles: a sedan for up to three, a minivan for four to seven, a minibus or a coach for larger parties. Child seats are free on request, a folding wheelchair travels in the boot, and a booking can be cancelled free of charge until 72 hours before the start. Can we change the route?

Yes, within the hours you book: swap the beach for a second winery, skip a village, stay longer in Oia. Say so in the request or on the day. If no tour fits, the custom tour form takes the stops and hours you want, and the office prices the day from the same rate card.
