Booking terms

These are the booking terms of Greece Private Tours for private tours in Santorini, Athens and the day trips from Athens. A booking is made by request: you send the date, your group size and the pickup, we confirm by email, and the price shown when you send the request is the price we confirm. You can cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before the start.

1. Who you book with

The operator is Greece Private Tours, founded in 1995 on Santorini. Our contact details are on the contact page and at the foot of every page. A few experiences on this site are operated by a sister brand of the same family; their page says so.

2. How a booking is made

  1. Send a request with your date and group size
  2. We confirm by email within 12 hours
  3. Pay the driver on the day

A request is not a booking until you have our confirmation email. Every request gets a reference (GPT, the date, a number) and a booking page you can return to, print and add to your calendar. If we cannot run the day you asked for, we say so and suggest another day or time.

3. Prices

Prices are per group for the group size you enter, not per person; the tour page prints the price by group size, or a from-price for the days we price on request. The price covers what the tour page lists under “Included”; entrance fees, tickets, food, drink and a licensed guide are paid separately unless the page says otherwise. If the group size or the date changes, the price is recomputed from the same rate card and confirmed to you again before the tour.

4. Payment

You pay nothing when you send a request, and no card details are asked for on this site. The confirmation email says how and when you pay; at present that is on the day of the tour, to the driver, in the currency printed on the tour page.

5. Cancellation and changes

Cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before the start; tell us by email or WhatsApp.

Inside the last 72 hours, or if nobody shows up, the full price is due.

Changes of date or group size are free until the same 72-hour limit.

To cancel or change a booking, reply to the confirmation email or write to us on WhatsApp with your reference. Your booking page shows the exact deadline for your date.

6. Cruise days

When you choose “match my ship” we plan the day from your ship’s arrival and end it 90 minutes before the all-aboard time you give us. Port queues, tender delays, the cable-car line and road closures are outside our control, so the return to the ship is planned with that margin but cannot be promised. If the ship cannot tender or skips the port, tell us as soon as you know.

7. On the day

The route printed on the tour page is the plan; you may change stops on the day as long as the tour stays within the hours booked. Extra time is agreed with the office before it starts. Our drivers drive, wait and give practical orientation; guiding inside museums and archaeological sites is reserved for licensed guides under Law 5121/2024, and a guide is booked only when you ask for one.

8. What we ask of you

A phone number with its country code that works in Greece on the day; the correct all-aboard time as printed by your cruise line; a word about children, mobility needs and luggage in the notes so the right vehicle and seats are on board; and being at the meeting point at the agreed time, or a message when you are delayed.
