Shore excursions

Private shore excursions with Greece Private Tours' own drivers at 2 ports today, Santorini and Piraeus for Athens, each with a port page that puts the logistics first: the tender and the cable car at Santorini, the dock and the terminals at Piraeus, and the call each tour needs with the margin before all-aboard. Other Greek ports are quoted on request, without a price until a driver is confirmed.

Private tour, ship excursion or on your own?

Three honest differences. A ship's excursion moves a coach on the ship's clock and the ship waits for it; ours moves your party on your clock with a driver who waits at every stop, and the ship does not wait for anyone, which is why every day we plan ends 90 minutes before all-aboard and why we print that margin instead of a promise. On your own you pay per ride and queue with everyone; with us the price is per group for the hours, printed before you send the request. What we do not do is pretend the tender, the cable car or the road are faster than they are: each port page prints the figures with their sources.

Tender or dock: what it means for your day

Santorini is a tender port: the ship lies off Fira, the tender lands you at the old port, and the way up is the cable car or 587 steps, with the driver at the exit of the top station; since 2026 a large ship lands part of its guests at Athinios instead, where the vehicle waits on the quay. The Santorini port page and the one-day guide time the day both ways. Piraeus is a dock: you walk out of one of three terminals and the driver is at the doors, 19 minutes from the Acropolis without traffic; the Piraeus port page and the Athens one-day guide work the calls through hour by hour.

Other ports

Mykonos, Katakolon, Heraklion, Rhodes, Corfu and Thessaloniki are quoted on request through the custom tour form: no price is printed for them, because the office confirms who drives there for each request, and no page of ours describes a day there that is not yet confirmed.
