Which day trips fit in one day?

All of them, with different amounts of road. Cape Sounion is a half day: about three hours on the coast road there and back and an hour and a half at the Temple of Poseidon and the coast. Ancient Corinth and the canal is a short day with under three hours of driving. Delphi is a full day, 5 h 39 min on the road for three hours and ten minutes at the sanctuary, the museum and lunch in Arachova. Mycenae, Epidaurus and Nafplio is a longer full day with six hours of driving. Meteora is 14 hours with eight and a half of them on the road: it is done in a day, and it is a long one; if you would rather sleep in Kalambaka, the custom tour form takes a two-day plan and the office prices it.

How does a day trip work?

The driver collects you at your Athens hotel, from 07:00 at the earliest, or at the Piraeus cruise terminals when your call is long enough. The drive is in your own vehicle with a stop when you want one; at each site the driver waits outside while you visit, and the entrance fees are paid at the gate, with timed tickets at the Ministry of Culture sites. Guiding inside a site or a museum is the work of state-licensed guides under Law 5121/2024, added on request and quoted separately. Lunch is on the way, at your own expense, where the itinerary plans it: Arachova on the Delphi day. The hours run from the pickup to the drop-off, and each tour page prints its stops with the minutes planned at each.

What does a day trip cost?

Per group, by the hours of the day: the 5-hour days to Sounion or Corinth are 400 EUR for up to three guests and 500 EUR for four to seven, which is 125 EUR each for four; the 8-hour combinations with Athens are 700 EUR per group for up to three and 800 EUR for four to seven. Delphi, the Argolis and Meteora, longer than eight hours, take the same 8-hour table, the longest on the card: 700 EUR for up to three guests whatever the hours of the day. From eight guests the rate is per person in a minibus or a coach; the price guide for Greece has the whole card with its date.

Can we take a day trip from a cruise ship in Piraeus?

Sounion and Corinth fit a call of their five hours plus the margin we keep before all-aboard; Delphi and the Argolis need nine or ten hours plus that margin, so only the longest calls allow them. The Piraeus page prints the call each tour needs and where the driver waits at the terminals.
