About Greece Private Tours

Greece Private Tours is a family tour operator founded in 1995 on Santorini. We run 42 private tours with our own drivers in Santorini, Athens, Corfu, Crete, Mykonos, Rhodes, Thessaloniki and Katakolon and Ancient Olympia, and on day trips to Delphi, Nafplio and Meteora, from 3 hours to 14 hours, starting at cruise ports, hotels and airports. Every tour is booked by request and confirmed by email; the price for your group is printed before you send it.

What a private tour with us is

A vehicle for your group only, a driver who knows the island or the region, and a day planned around the hours you have. You choose the date, your group size and where we pick you up; the route is the one printed on the tour page, and it bends to your interests as long as the day stays within the hours you booked.

Our drivers drive, wait and give practical orientation on the road. Guiding inside museums and archaeological sites is the work of state-qualified guides (Law 5121/2024), so where you want a guide at your side we book a licensed one and quote it separately. The driver-or-guide guide has the law, the tipping guide the custom, and what a private tour is the definition.

How booking works

  1. Send a request with your date and group size
  2. We confirm by email within 12 hours
  3. Pay the driver on the day

The price printed on a tour page is the price for your whole group at that group size. It comes from one rate card, so a hub, a guide or an email never quotes a different figure.

Where we drive, and since when

Greece Private Tours was founded on Santorini in 1995 by Nikos Sirigos, who still answers the requests. Its drivers and vehicles are its own on Santorini and in Athens, and from Athens they run the day trips to Cape Sounion, Ancient Corinth, Delphi, the Argolis and Meteora; the Santorini page, the Athens page and the day-trips page list the days, and a longer stay is built from them one day at a time, as the private tours in Greece page explains. Elsewhere in Greece we quote a driver only when we have one to send. The Santorini businesses we recommend to our guests, each independent with a site of its own, are listed on the partners page.

What this site prints, and what it does not

It prints facts with their dates: drive times routed on OpenStreetMap data, entrance fees and opening hours from the official pages with the day they were read, the law on guiding by its number, and one rate card confirmed by the office, printed on every tour. It does not print a review, a rating or a badge it cannot link to, a price it has not confirmed, a stop it has not routed, or a promise about a ship’s departure; the reviews page says how reviews will be collected, and the questions page answers the rest.

Cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before the start; tell us by email or WhatsApp.
