What fits in four hours?

The town, the village and one beach, with 42 minutes of driving. Routed on OpenStreetMap without traffic from the new port: 8 min and 4.1 km to the edge of Mykonos Town, then 90 minutes on foot through the windmills and Little Venice, the old town being closed to cars; 10 min and 7.9 km inland to Ano Mera for 35 minutes at the village and its monastery of Panagia Tourliani; 6 min and 3.6 km down to Kalafatis beach for 45 minutes; 18 min and 13.3 km back to the port. Some 28 minutes stay free for a coffee in the village or a slower walk in town. From a hotel the first leg follows the address. Ornos bay on the way back belongs to the 5-hour tour.

Mykonos Town on foot: the windmills and Little Venice

The driver sets you down where the lanes begin and waits there with the vehicle; the ninety minutes are yours on foot, the windmills above the waterfront and the houses of Little Venice beneath them, with a time and a place to meet again fixed at the drop-off. No official page gives opening hours or a ticket for a quarter of a town, so none is printed; what the town asks for is flat shoes on its paving and a hat in summer.

Ano Mera and Kalafatis

Ten minutes inland and east of the town, Ano Mera is the village stop, with the monastery of Panagia Tourliani on its square: thirty-five minutes for the square, the monastery if its door is open, and a coffee. No official page states the monastery’s hours or a dress rule, so we print none, and the driver reads the door on the day. Six minutes on, Kalafatis is the beach of the east side: sand, a swim in season or a walk by the water out of it, forty-five minutes with the driver waiting by the beach with the vehicle.

Driver or licensed guide?

This tour has no archaeological site or museum on it, so the law that reserves guiding inside them to state-licensed guides, Law 5121/2024, does not shape the day: the driver drives, waits and gives practical orientation at each stop, and does not guide. A licensed guide for the walk through the town is quoted on request when you book.

Steps, shade, toilets and lunch

No official page states the steps, the shade or the toilets of a town quarter, a village square or a beach, so no figure is printed here. The driver’s practical orientation covers each stop on the day: where the vehicle waits, how far the walk is, whether the lanes climb in steps, where the shade and the nearest toilets are. Lunch is not planned into four hours; the half hour in hand is yours for a table in Ano Mera or by the beach at Kalafatis, at your own expense, and the driver tells you where the nearest tables are.

What does it cost for our group?

The price is for the vehicle and the driver, from the 4-hour rate card: 300 EUR for up to three guests in a sedan, 400 EUR for four to seven in a minivan, which is 100 EUR each for four and 57 EUR each for seven; from eight guests the rate is per person in a minibus, printed above. The tour prints no fee ticket because no official page states an entrance fee at any of its stops; what you eat and drink, and a licensed guide if you ask for one, are extra. Nothing is paid on the site: the office confirms by email and you pay the driver on the day.

Where do we meet the driver?

Cruise guests: at the landing your tender or gangway gives you, the New Port at Tourlos or the Old Port in the town, with a sign with your name. The tour needs a call of four hours plus the 90-minute margin before the last tender, which the card above prints and the booking form checks; the cruise port page explains the nine anchorages, the one long berth and the clearance times with their sources. Hotel guests: at the door anywhere on the island, and back there at the end. The Mykonos page compares this tour with the 5-hour one.

Driver or licensed guide

In Greece, guiding visitors in museums and archaeological sites is the work of state-qualified guides registered with the Ministry of Tourism (Law 5121/2024, Articles 33, 34 and 40). Our drivers are not guides: they drive, wait and give practical orientation on the road. We can book a licensed guide for you on request and quote the guide separately. How hiring a driver in Greece works

Where we meet you

Νέος Λιμένας ΜυκόνουMykonos new portcruise or ferry port

Cruise guests: at the landing your ship uses, the New Port at Tourlos or the Old Port in Mykonos Town. The driver holds a sign with your name; the port's schedule names no berth, so give us the ship's name and its times.

Your driver waits where you come ashore, with a sign with your name: at the New Port at Tourlos when your ship berths there or its tenders land there, at the Old Port in Mykonos Town when they land in town. Give us the ship's name and its times when you book; the Port Fund's schedule names neither berth nor anchorage, so we go by your ship's own programme, and the driver's phone and WhatsApp are on your confirmation.

Your hotel or villa

At your hotel anywhere on the island; the first leg follows the address and the day ends back at the door.

Walking and access

A folding wheelchair travels in the boot; tell us in the request.

Cancellation, in plain words

Cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before the start; tell us by email or WhatsApp.

Inside the last 72 hours, or if nobody shows up, the full price is due.

Changes of date or group size are free until the same 72-hour limit.

Questions guests ask

Is Mykonos Town done on foot?

Yes: the old town is closed to cars, so the driver sets you down where the lanes begin, waits there with the vehicle, and you walk the windmills and Little Venice in the 90 minutes planned.

Are there tickets to pay?

None are printed: no official page states an entrance fee for the town, the village of Ano Mera or Kalafatis beach. A swim, a coffee and anything you eat are at your own expense.

Can we do this from a cruise ship?

Yes, on a call of at least five and a half hours: four hours plus the margin before the last tender. Mykonos is a tender port with two landings, in the town and at Tourlos, and the driver waits at the one your ship uses with a sign with your name.

Can we swap Kalafatis for another beach?

Yes, inside the four hours: say so in the request or on the day and the driver takes the road to the beach you name; the minutes at each stop move with it.

Driver or licensed guide?

The driver drives, waits and gives practical orientation; there is no site or museum on this route where Law 5121/2024 would call for a licensed guide. One for the walk through the town is quoted on request.
