What fits in five hours?

Four stops round the south and the east of the island, with 51 minutes at the wheel. The route strip above gives the legs as OpenStreetMap routes them without traffic: from the new port 8 min and 4.1 km to the edge of Mykonos Town, 100 minutes on foot among the windmills and the houses of Little Venice; 10 min and 7.9 km inland to Ano Mera for 40 minutes at the village and the monastery of Panagia Tourliani; 6 min and 3.6 km to Kalafatis beach for 50 minutes; 18 min and 13.7 km westward along the south of the island to Ornos bay for 40 minutes; 9 min and 6.4 km back to the port. About twenty minutes are left loose for a slower lane or a longer swim; a hotel or an airport start changes the first leg only. If your call or your morning is shorter, the 4-hour tour keeps the first three stops and leaves out Ornos.

The town first, the east side after

The lanes of the old town are closed to cars, so the driver leaves you where they begin and waits there with the vehicle while you walk: the windmills above the waterfront, the houses of Little Venice beneath them, a hundred minutes at your own pace with a time and a place agreed for the way back. Then the island opens out. Ano Mera lies inland, with the monastery of Panagia Tourliani on its square; no official page states the monastery’s hours or a dress rule, so we print none, and the driver reads the door on the day. Kalafatis on the east coast gives you fifty minutes, a swim in season or a walk on the sand out of it, with the driver parked by the beach.

Ornos bay on the way back

Ornos is the last stop and the reason for the fifth hour: a bay on the south-west of the island, 9 minutes from the new port, so the forty minutes there sit right before the run back and the margin. A second swim, a coffee at the water or simply the view; the driver waits at the bay with the vehicle and keeps the clock against your ship or your flight.

Driver or licensed guide?

No site and no museum: the law that keeps guiding inside them for state-licensed guides, Law 5121/2024, is not in play on this route, and the driver’s part is the roads, the waiting and the practical orientation at each stop. Guests who want a licensed guide for the lanes of the town ask when they book, and the office quotes the fee with the day; for Delos, which is reached by boat and is not on this tour, the same applies.

Steps, shade, toilets and lunch

Lunch has a natural slot: the fifty minutes at Kalafatis or the forty at Ornos, at a table by the water at your own expense, with the driver waiting. On steps, shade and toilets no official page describes a town quarter, a village square or a beach, so no figure is printed; the driver’s orientation at each stop covers where the vehicle waits, how far the walk is, whether the lanes climb in steps, where the shade and the nearest toilets are. Flat shoes for the paving of the town, a hat and water for the beaches in summer.

What does it cost for our group?

This tour has a rate of its own, confirmed by the office rather than taken from the hours table: 300 EUR for the vehicle and the driver with up to four guests, 75 EUR each for four, and a set addition for each guest above four, so six pay 400 EUR in all and 67 EUR each; the ticket above prints the figures from the rate card. No stop prints a fee because no official page states one; a swim, a table and a licensed guide, if you ask for one, are extra. The site takes no payment: the office confirms by email, the driver is paid on the day.

Where do we meet the driver?

From a ship: at the landing, the New Port at Tourlos or the Old Port in the town, name sign up; the tour needs five hours plus the 90-minute margin before the last tender, printed on the card and checked by the booking form, and the cruise port page has the anchorages, the berth and the clearance times with their sources. From a hotel: at the door, anywhere on the island, and back to it. From the airport: at the arrivals exit, with the sign; give us the flight number so the driver knows when to be there. The Mykonos page sets this tour beside the 4-hour one.

Driver or licensed guide

In Greece, guiding visitors in museums and archaeological sites is the work of state-qualified guides registered with the Ministry of Tourism (Law 5121/2024, Articles 33, 34 and 40). Our drivers are not guides: they drive, wait and give practical orientation on the road. We can book a licensed guide for you on request and quote the guide separately. How hiring a driver in Greece works

Where we meet you

Νέος Λιμένας ΜυκόνουMykonos new portcruise or ferry port

Cruise guests: at the landing your ship uses, the New Port at Tourlos or the Old Port in Mykonos Town. The driver holds a sign with your name; the port's schedule names no berth, so give us the ship's name and its times.

Your driver waits where you come ashore, with a sign with your name: at the New Port at Tourlos when your ship berths there or its tenders land there, at the Old Port in Mykonos Town when they land in town. Give us the ship's name and its times when you book; the Port Fund's schedule names neither berth nor anchorage, so we go by your ship's own programme, and the driver's phone and WhatsApp are on your confirmation.

Your hotel or villa

At your hotel anywhere on the island; the first leg follows the address and the day ends back at the door.

Airport

At the arrivals exit of Mykonos airport, with a sign with your name; give us the flight number.

Walking and access

A folding wheelchair travels in the boot; tell us in the request.

Cancellation, in plain words

Cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before the start; tell us by email or WhatsApp.

Inside the last 72 hours, or if nobody shows up, the full price is due.

Changes of date or group size are free until the same 72-hour limit.

Questions guests ask

What does the tour's own price cover?

The vehicle and the driver for five hours with up to four guests; each guest above four adds a set figure, printed above from the rate card. Food, drinks and a licensed guide are extra, and no stop has a ticket that an official page states.

Can we start at the airport?

Yes: the driver waits at the arrivals exit with a sign with your name; give us the flight number, and the five hours start when you meet.

Can we do this from a cruise ship?

On a call of at least six and a half hours, five hours plus the margin before the last tender. The driver waits at the landing your ship uses, the New Port at Tourlos or the Old Port in the town, with a sign with your name.

Is Delos part of the tour?

No: Delos is an island, reached by boat, and a driver's day stays on Mykonos. The Mykonos cruise port page prints the Ministry's ticket and hours for a visit on your own.

Where do we eat?

At Kalafatis or Ornos, in the minutes planned at the beach, at a table of your choosing and at your own expense, with the driver waiting.
