Where we meet you: Piraeus cruise terminals

Piraeus, the port of Athens, has 3 cruise terminals: A Miaoulis, B Themistocles and C Alkimos, each within about 50 metres of its quay. Greece Private Tours waits outside the exit of your ship's terminal at the agreed time, holding a sign with your name; from there the Acropolis is 19 min and 13 km without traffic. Send us the ship's name and its times when you book.

Which terminal will our ship use, and how do we find out?

Piraeus has three cruise terminals, as the port authority listed them on 21 September 2026: Terminal A Miaoulis, the main one, behind gate E11, and Terminals B Themistocles and C Alkimos behind gate E12, each building within about 50 metres of its quay, with a free port shuttle from the farther berths. Which one your ship gets is decided for each call and published in the port authority’s berthing schedule. Ask your cruise line, or give us the ship’s name when you book: we read the schedule and name the terminal in the confirmation, and if the berth changes on the day, the driver moves with it. The Piraeus page prints these facts with their sources.

Where exactly does the driver wait at each terminal?

Outside the exit of the terminal building, on the land side, holding a board with your name on it: the same spot at A, B and C, at the time we agree. Ships dock here, so there is no tender: come out as soon as the ship is cleared and walk through the terminal; the driver is on the other side of the doors.

What if we cannot find the driver?

Stay at the exit and message us on WhatsApp at +30 6944803339, or ring the office on +30 22860 28115; we reach the driver at once. Do not go looking for the vehicle in the port: the driver comes to the doors.

How far is the Acropolis, and the centre of Athens?

19 min and 13 km to the Acropolis and 18 min and 13 km to Syntagma Square, without traffic, routed on OpenStreetMap; traffic adds to it, and the 4-hour highlights tour is built with that in mind: 47 minutes of driving in a morning that spends an hour and three quarters at the Acropolis.

Which tours start here, and which fit a port call?

Every Athens tour and day trip: the highlights in 4 hours, Cape Sounion and Ancient Corinth in 5, the full day and its combinations in 8, Delphi in 9, Mycenae, Epidaurus and Nafplio in 10 and Meteora in 14, for ships that stay the night. Each needs a call of its hours plus the margin we keep before all-aboard, 90 minutes, and the cards below print it. If you would rather set your own stops, the car and driver by the hour takes whatever the call allows, and the one-day-in-Athens guide sets the plans side by side.

When should we come out?

As soon as the ship is cleared: there is no tender to wait for, the driver is at the exit from the agreed time, and every minute ashore is yours. The day ends 90 minutes before all-aboard, the booking form asks for the ship’s arrival and all-aboard times and refuses a tour that does not fit between them, and a slow road back costs the last stop its minutes, never the margin.
