Archaeological site entrance fees in Greece: the sites on our tours, with dates

Facts checked on 27 Sep 2026 against their official sources.

Entrance fees at Greek archaeological sites are paid at the gate or bought online for a chosen date and a 1-hour time slot, and they change: the table below prints the fee of every ticketed site on Greece Private Tours’ routes, the Acropolis of Athens included, with the date the official page was read. The free days and the free and reduced categories follow, from the Ministry of Culture.

Per adult, paid at the gate or bought in the official online shop for a chosen date and time slot; not included in a tour price. Each row prints the date the official page was read and its host; the free days and the free and reduced categories are the same at every Ministry of Culture site and are listed on this page.

Two of the rows are one purchase: at Delphi a single ticket covers the archaeological site and the museum, and at Ancient Corinth the same, so nobody pays the Delphi fee twice.

When is admission free, and for whom?

On six occasions a year at every site of the Ministry of Culture: 6 March, 18 April, 18 May, the last weekend of September, 28 October, and the first and third Sunday of each month from 1 November to 31 March. The categories that never pay: children and young people up to 25 from EU member states, children up to 18 from other countries, and persons with disabilities together with one escort when the disability is 67 percent or more, each with an ID card, a passport or the disability certificate at the gate. The reduced ticket, half the full price, goes to Greek and other EU citizens over 65 from 1 October to 31 May, and to parents and teachers escorting school visits under the Ministry’s rules. The list is the Ministry’s admission notice of May 2025, read on its site and on Hellenic Heritage’s pages; free and reduced tickets are checked against documents at the entrance, so bring them.

Why is the Acropolis dearer than the other sites?

It is: the Acropolis ticket is 30 EUR (checked 8 Oct 2026, hh.gr), against 20 EUR (checked 8 Oct 2026, hh.gr) at Delphi for the site and the museum together, 15 EUR (checked 8 Oct 2026, hh.gr) at Ancient Corinth for the site and its museum, and 20 EUR (checked 8 Oct 2026, hh.gr) at Akrotiri. No official page we read states the reason, so we print none; what the pages do state is that the Acropolis ticket covers the Acropolis and its slopes and is used once, with no re-entry, and that the other prices have no seasonal difference.

How do timed tickets work?

Every online ticket is for a chosen date and a one-hour entry slot, valid for a single entry; a slot can be changed up to two hours before the visit, at most twice, and the ticket is not refunded. Tickets are also sold at the ticket offices on site. Large luggage, food, professional photography and filming are not allowed inside, and the last admission is 20 minutes before closing. The Ministry’s ticketing runs through Hellenic Heritage, whose shop is the one linked from every official site page; other domains that put a site’s name and the word tickets together are not the Ministry’s shop, and their prices are their own. On our tours you can hold your own slot or ask us to name one with the confirmation, because the driver plans the morning around it.

Are the fees included in a tour?

No, at any operator that follows the rules: the ticket is personal and bought for you or by you, so every tour page of ours prints the fee beside the tour with the date it was checked and says that it is paid at the gate. The driver waits outside; guiding inside is the work of state-licensed guides, and the driver-or-guide guide explains the rule. The tours that visit these sites: the Athens highlights and the full day for the Acropolis and the Olympieion, the 5-hour Santorini tour for Akrotiri, Delphi, Mycenae and Epidaurus, Ancient Corinth and Sounion.

How current is this page?

Each row prints the date its official page was read; the Acropolis, Akrotiri, Delphi, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Ancient Corinth, Sounion and the Olympieion were read again on 27 September 2026. Fees have changed before, so when a row’s date is old, the official page wins; the tour pages and this table print from the same file, so they never disagree with each other.
